The Cornerstone Block

The Cornerstone Block is the piece the rest of your kitchen answers to. Built end grain from locally sourced black walnut, each block is cut, turned, and glued up by hand into a pattern that shifts with the light, then finished with a slim brass inlay set into its edge like a maker's signature. End grain is kinder to your knives, too: the blade slips between the fibers instead of across them, so edges stay sharp and cut marks close back up. Raised feet keep it steady on the counter, and its softened edges make it as much a centerpiece as a workhorse. Add a name, date, or monogram to make it an heirloom from day one.

This item is made with naturual materials. If cared for properly, it will last for generations to come. Avoid excessive water exposure and humidity changes. If necessary, use a damp cloth with a small amount of soap to clean.

It is heavily encouraged to apply a wood wax or oil to the surface every 6-8 months with a soft cloth to maintain the integrity of the piece.
