Made to order
Every WoodBaby piece is handmade to order in my Nashville workshop. Please allow 2–4 weeks for your piece to be made before it ships, depending on the item and any personalization. Larger or custom pieces may take longer, and I'll let you know if your order needs extra time.
Shipping rates & delivery
- Where I ship: worldwide, within the United States and internationally
- Shipping cost: calculated at checkout based on your location and the size and weight of your order
- Carrier: all orders ship via UPS
- Delivery time: once shipped, most US orders arrive within 3–7 business days; international orders typically arrive within 7–21 business days, depending on the destination and customs
- Tracking: you'll receive a UPS tracking number by email as soon as your order ships
International orders
International shipments may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees charged by the destination country. These fees aren't included in the item price or shipping cost and are the buyer's responsibility. Customs processing can occasionally add time to delivery, which is outside my control.
Packaging
Every piece is carefully wrapped in kraft paper and packed to protect it in transit. A Care Card is included with every order.
Damaged in transit
I personally quality check every piece before it leaves the workshop. Please inspect your order when it arrives. If anything is damaged, email woodbabybuilds@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and the packaging, and keep all packaging, since UPS may need to inspect it. I'll repair or replace damaged items free of charge. See the Refund Policy for details.
Order confirmation & availability
Your order is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email. In the rare event of a pricing error or if a material becomes unavailable, I'll contact you before your order goes into production, and you won't be charged for anything I can't make.
About natural wood
All WoodBaby products are 100% handmade from natural hardwoods, so every piece varies slightly from the photos in grain, color, markings and knots. I carefully select and match wood so each piece is consistent, and all lumber is dried to the correct moisture content before it's built.
Wood is a natural, living material and responds to its environment. Very occasionally, changes in temperature and humidity can cause slight movement, such as minor warping, shrinking or seasonal expansion. This is normal over a piece's lifetime, and keeping it away from direct heat, standing water and big humidity swings usually prevents it or corrects it.
Aftercare
To keep your piece beautiful for generations, re-oil it about once a year, or more often for cutting boards and trays that see daily use. Your Care Card explains exactly how.
